We heard from Scott Sister Rasmussen, Scott's Mission President's wife, and she sent this picture and letter to Mike and I, we are so blessed that Scott will be serving in Washington.
Here is the letter we received:
We were so happy to welcome Elder Kenfield to Washington yesterday. We were thrilled to receive this wonderful group of twenty eight missionaries! After a three hour delayed flight, we had a great day with dinner, interviews and some training. They bring the fire of the MTC with them and we all catch it. We look forward to watching your missionary stretch and grow and succeed! Bishop Waddell told us in mission president seminar that we have that birds eye view that every parent wish they could have to watch the growth of their missionary. We are truly blessed to be here and serve with these dedicated elders and sisters. We are looking forward to getting to know him better as he serves the Lord in this beautiful part of the vineyard.
He has been assigned to work with Elder Kochev in the Green Valley YSA Ward in Maple Valley. You will hear from him on Monday which is our P-day.
The church is strong in this area and we love seeing the hand of the Lord in His work here. Your family will be blessed as he teaches the Doctrine of Christ and brings salvation to those who live here. We know he will be a great asset to our mission.
I just wanted to make your day,
Sister Rasmussen
